Bruce emerges from the bar into the Manor. The clothes he was wearing change back into pajamas as he does so. The house is just like it was when he left, dark and silent. Mite has perched on his shoulder.
He begins to walk silently back towards his room when something comes around a corner and surprises him.
"Master Bruce! What are you doing out of bed?" Alfred is not pleased to find Bruce wandering around when he should be asleep.
"I wanted a glass of water," Bruce lies. He does not want to upset Alfred, but how can he explain where he was?
"All right. We will get you one, and then you will sleep. You have school tomorrow." If Alfred notices the bat on Bruce's shoulder, he says nothing. |
