Bruce sleeps the deep, dreamless sleep of the exhausted. Mite watches over him, ensuring his sleep remains untroubled.
Sometime in the middle of the night, Bruce finds himself in the vast dark. He is in a cave, darkness stretching for miles around him. He is not afraid, because Mite is with him.
He turns to Mite. "What do we do now?"
"We grow up. And we grow strong."
Bruce embraces him, not noticing Mite has grown to the size of a man as he said this.
Somewhere, Destiny smiles.
